Schedule an appointment with our home designers in Columbia. The initial consultation is free and requires no obligation. During the initial consultation, our interior designer will outline what you can expect throughout our design process, as well as allow us to get a better understanding of your design wants and needs. We will determine whether to initially meet at the showroom, or at your home based on the project.

We’ll measure your space and gather all the information that we can about your kitchen, bathroom, or other remodeling project. This is when you show us your pictures of projects that you like, tell us your budget (if you know), and give us any information that you think will help us to develop the perfect design for you.

Our design showroom offers you the ability to visually see material samples and renderings of our designs. We do not release drawings at this stage, but we are happy to meet with you in the showroom to go over the plans as much as you like before you make the decision to purchase your cabinetry.

We revise the drawings as needed to get them to perfection and select final materials. At this point we will also need appliance and plumbing information to get the order placed. We are happy to give our input on what would be best for your bathroom or kitchen design. We provide a selection of fixture options at our showroom and can also recommend other local appliance and plumbing showrooms if desired.

After the order is placed, it usually takes about a week to have a delivery date. Next, our kitchen remodelers will coordinate with the client, project manager, and installer so that everyone knows when to be prepared for cabinetry. We will thoroughly review the plans with the installer and provide detailed drawings and instructions so that they are ready to start installing when the cabinetry arrives.

The cabinets arrive and are delivered to the jobsite. Installation begins when the jobsite is ready. We will check in on the project regularly and make sure that everything is being installed according to the plans. If you purchase your countertops through our interior design firm, we will coordinate the template and meet the fabricators at the jobsite when the base cabinets are set and ready to go. Installation can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks.

This free initial consultation allows us to gain a better understanding of your design goals, as well as provide you with an overview of what you can expect throughout the entire new construction design process should you choose to proceed with our interior design service.

At this time, we will make copies of the parts of your floor plans that we may be designing if you don’t have an extra set. We will go over each room with you and listen to your design preferences and needs.

Typically, we try to get back to you within a week with drawings and pricing to review. We will show you product samples and examples of what we have designed. We do not give out drawings at this stage, but we are happy to meet with you in the showroom to go over the plans as much as you like before you make the decision to purchase your cabinetry. If you decide that you want to purchase plans so that you can take them with you immediately, we can certainly do that as well.

Once your new construction is underway, we typically like to measure the framing onsite once the roof is on.

We will adjust the drawings as needed after the onsite measurements.

This is helpful for the electrician as he does his walk-through with the builder and client. This also serves a great way to get a feel for how the cabinets fit the space.
